Nick limits the number of dogs he works with to maintain quality of service, so please be patient during the process. He typically returns calls or emails within 48 hours. Please contact the camp phone at 760-749-4022 or send an email to request a call back . Our goal is to help humans learn how to better communicate with their dogs and also be strong leaders in their households.
The initial phone conversation is free of charge. This call will determine the needs of each client. Please be honest and forthcoming about all of the issues you are experiencing with your dog(s). Our goal is to help resolve these issues which requires the family's ability and desire to possibly change the ways they have been dealing with their dog(s) issues in the past. We find that most of the time, the issues are born from human error. Your ability to change is also crucial.
Once your free phone consultation has been completed, Nick will set up a date and time for you to bring your dog to our facility. This consultation may last several hours.
At this visit, you will fill out our new customer forms and contract and pay for your initial consultation. Forms will be provided when you arrive. Please also include vaccination records. Your dog must have their RABIES vaccine up to date prior to your dog being allowed at our facility. This is for the safety of everyone, and our kennel license requires that all dogs have their Rabies vaccine.
Once the In Person Consultation/Evaluation is complete, Nick will go over his plan to help resolve your dog's issues. This may include just a single in-home visit with Nick, or it could include several visits at your home with your entire family being present. His approach is different than most traditional trainers. His goal is to help your dog get back to the basics of being a dog.
Once Nick has completed your dog's initial assessment/consultation, he will discuss the next steps he feels are necessary.
If your dog requires attending a facility short or long term to address severe aggression or fear issues, Nick will recommend a facility that he is very familiar with and highly recommends. Working with human-aggressive dogs is a specialty that cannot be done in your home environment.
Nick understands that oftentimes issues will arise that the humans may not know how to handle. Nick has your back and wants you to be successful at maintaining balance in the household even when things change. Please reach out immediately if you have a question or concern. Your success is our success!
Nick will determine during the phone consultation whether it is necessary for him to come to your home again for an in-person refresher as well as to address new issues.
We realize that the cost of training can be a hardship for some people. If you are truly committed to helping your dog but are worried about the cost, please set up a phone meeting with our non-profit partner called Doggy Hydeaway Rescue Rehab.
