Please visit our Home page for videos & pics. Below is a list of our rates and services, what we require to become a camper, our downloadable customer forms, how to schedule a required temperament test, and how to access the GINGR reservation system.
We understand that every dog is unique and has different needs, and our staff is trained to handle most every situation such as administering medications, as well as taking care of existing wounds or issues that your dog may be dealing with.
A run card is prepared for each dog when they board showing their food quantities, allergies (if any), type of food, as well as specific details on any medications you may give to your dog at home. Our goal is to maintain your feeding/medication schedule that you provide at home.
We strongly recommend that you bring your dog's food to maintain consistency in his/her diet to avoid potential stomach issues such as diarrhea or vomiting. Changing a dog's food drastically can definitely cause some tummy issues! We always appreciate each owner providing us with a food container labeled with your dog's name, and a written list of how their food is prepared at home, as well as medication instructions (amount, AM or PM, etc.) If your dog takes numerous medications, please provide a pre-filled pill box which makes it much easier for the staff to make sure meds are administered properly.
WE DO NOT CHARGE EXTRA FOR ADMINISTERING MEDICATIONS UNLESS IT REQUIRES US TO HAVE A STAFF MEMBER ADMINISTERING MEDS AFTER HOURS.
We do provide dry food, both grain free and ancient grains versions, as well as canned food and a homemade dog soup that can be used to add as a topper to entice a picky eater to eat. As mentioned above, we strongly encourage each customer to send their dog's food with them to maintain consistency and to avoid possible allergic reactions of any kind. But if you would still like to use our provided food, then just let us know. We do not charge extra when providing our food.
We offer flexible drop-off and pick-up times to accommodate your busy schedule. You can drop off your dog as early as 7 am and pick them up as late as 7 pm. If you are unable to pick your dog up by 7pm due to unforeseen circumstances, please contact us right away so we can determine whether we can allow a pickup a few minutes past 7pm or if we need to keep your dog(s) overnight and you can pick them up the next morning.
Camp Baths can be requested at any time by our customers. When your dog(s) board 5 or more nights in a row, we automatically give them a camp bath at the end of their stay, so they come home clean. You are welcome to opt out of this service so please notify us when you drop your dog(s) off.
As a courtesy, we also offer each customer a $20 credit towards all of our grooming services when boarding 5 or more nights. The credit will automatically be applied on your invoice. So, if your dog gets a camp bath or you want to have our groomer do a full-service grooming at the end of your dog's stay, the $20 credit will be automatically applied. You can check out our rates and services on our Gentle Grooming page.
We do offer van pick-up and/or drop-off to our day campers and boarders. But, we are selective as to who we allow to be a van dog due to how well your dog gets along with other dogs in a confined area. It is more difficult to bring a new dog into the morning group because the dogs have not been introduced to the new dog yet. Once your dog has integrated with our pack, then traveling together in the van is much easier! We do not crate the dogs in the van so they must be able to lay closely next to other dogs and behave themselves. Please inquire about this service when making your reservations so we can determine whether it is possible or not. We appreciate your understanding!

We realize that some dogs need more than group play. Professional leashed walks help manage stress, burn excess energy, support healthy sleep, and create a positive routine. With over 13 years of experience, Nick, our Behavior Resolution Specialist, ensures that each walk is safe, relaxing, and enjoyable for every dog. ADD leashed walks to your dog's boarding reservations or include a leashed walk during their day at camp.
Individual rate per dog.
Paid in advance. Use package within one year.
We reserve the right to decide if your dog(s) are able to use the van service based on their ability to get along with several other dogs in a confined area. Please ask for permission to use the van service prior to your reservation arrival date. We must put the safety of our driver and the other dogs on the van at all times.

If your pooch needs to go to the vet for any reason, we will designate a staff member to take your dog to and from the vet.
We can administer boosters for Bordetella and DhPP (or DAPP2) while your dog is here for day camp or staying for boarding. The cost of each vaccine, including tax, will also be charged. We will provide a vaccine certificate for your records. Rabies must be done by a licensed vet by law. At this time, we do not provide boosters for Leptospirosis, but we highly recommend this vaccine.
If your check bounces, a fee will be charged to cover the bank fees.
We charge an extra fee to our customers during the holiday time periods (Memorial Day weekend, 4th of July weekend, Labor Day weekend, Thanksgiving weekend and Christmas through New Years) that is then passed back 100% to our staff who work to care for your dogs while you and your family enjoy your time off with family and friends. Fee is charged for specific days surrounding a holiday weekend. Charge is per day per dog.
As a general rule we do not charge a fee when a customer cancels their reservations. We understand that life happens. The only exception will be when a customer continuously does not call to cancel or just doesn't show up. This is a very rare occurrence, but we do reserve the right to charge a fee if a customer does this frequently, showing disrespect towards our business.
At Two Paws Up Happy Camp for Dogs, we offer a fun and safe environment for your pet to play and socialize with other dogs. We take every dog's health and wellbeing very seriously. Please always be transparent with us about your dog's health or habits so that we may provide the best care possible while they are with us.
As a licensed boarding facility, we are required to obtain current vaccination records for each dog in our care. We currently require the following vaccines:
RABIES-this vaccine is absolutely required by the County of San Diego. Please ask your vet for the RABIES CERTIFICATE as well. We must have a hard copy in each dog's file.
DHPP OR DAPP2-either version of this vaccine is accepted at our facility.
BORDETELLA-this vaccine is required to help protect from a virus referred to as "kennel cough". Dogs with an underdeveloped immune system (puppies), or dogs who have a compromised immune system (elderly or suffering from a disease or disorder of some sort), are more susceptible to this virus that can result in a very deep cough and cold-like symptoms. The vaccine has been proven to lessen symptoms and duration for most dogs, and we feel this is a very important vaccine for any dog that is social in any type of environment.
NOT REQUIRED, BUT RECOMMENDED (ASK YOUR VET FOR THEIR RECOMMENDATIONS)
LEPTOSPOROSIS-This virus has become more prominent in the western United States over the last couple of years. We do not require this vaccine, but we do highly recommend it.
INFLUENZA-dog flu has also been on the rise in California and the United States, and we highly recommend this for your dog(s) if they are socialized with other dogs or people in public areas.
*WE ARE PAUSING TEMPERAMENT TESTING UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE

Dogs live in the moment. When they come to board, it takes a day or two of adjusting to a new environment. The same happens when they get home. Please be patient with them and try not to worry if they sleep a lot or seem "depressed". It is always temporary until they adjust back into their home environment.
